8.5 Testing using the Personnel System
A very simple Personnel System is supplied to demonstrate application and files. For details about the application, refer to 8.5.1 Personnel System Demonstration Files.
If you plan to use the Personnel System Demonstration Files for testing, you must Web enable the partition. If you didn't Web enable the partition, you can do so manually using the steps in the Task: Set up IBM i Partition for Web Development.
If you do not have the Personnel System installed, you may perform a test provided you create a Web-enabled process and function.
If you are using a Visual LANSA development environment, the Partition Initialization will load the Personnel System database and executable objects. In order to add data to the database files, it is recommended that you execute the Visual LANSA form VL_INIT. When you execute the Visual LANSA demonstration programs, you can copy data into the Personnel System files.
