Showing and hiding gridlines in report templates and layouts

Gridlines display by default to help you align fields and objects in a layout or a template. You can disable gridlines so that they do not appear.

To show or hide gridlines in a report template

  1. Create or modify a report template.

The report appears in the Report Designer.

  1. From the View menu, click Grid.

If a check mark appears next to the command, the item will display. If no check mark appears, the item is hidden.

To show or hide gridlines in a layout

  1. Open the Layout Designer.

  2. From the Format menu, point to Grid, and then click Show Grid.

If a check mark appears next to the command, the item will display. If no check mark appears, the item is hidden. To align objects to the grid, see Aligning fields and objects.
