Selecting Controls and Indicators

NI Vision Acquisition Express VI

Selecting Controls and Indicators

In the Select Controls/Indicators step of the NI Vision Acquisition Express Wizard, specify the controls and indicators that will be available on the Express VI when you exit the Wizard. The controls and indicators displayed depend on the type of acquisition source you selected, the acquisition type, and the acquisition settings. Some controls and indicators are required and cannot be unchecked. When you are done configuring everything, click Finish and the Express VI is created with the settings that you configured. If you setup a continuous acquisition or a finite acquisition, looping structures are created the first time the Express VI is configured.

The controls and indicators available will vary based on your device and acquisition settings. Controls and indicators can be required or optional. Controls are also divided into Setup Settings and Acquire Settings controls. Setup Settings controls are used to configure the acquisition. Setup Settings controls are used during the first iteration of the acquisition. Acquire Settings controls are used to acquire images. Acquire Settings controls can be changed at any point during the acquisition.
